Weighing just a tad over 14-lbs, this three year old gal looks to be a mix of Pug and Border Terrier. She has the fawn brindle coloring of the Pug but her scruffy coat and build is more like that of the Border Terrier. Chelsea is a super-friendly dog that loves to be with people but, for some reason, she doesn't seem to be too crazy about kids. Since we don't know much about her background, it could be that a child was mean to her or scared her in the past. Chelsea LOVES her toys and more often than not she will meet you at her kennel door with a toy in her mouth as if she's extending an invitation to play. And Chelsea REALLY enjoys playing! She's been in playgroups with both males and females and does fine with both as long as she isn't challenged by a dominant female. Like most terriers, Chelsea will stand her ground if she feels it's necessary. In absence of a canine playmate, Chelsea's quite capable of entertaining herself as long as she has some toys. And if they squeak, that's all the better! We don't know if Chelsea is house-trained but she does a pretty good job of keeping her kennel clean. She really enjoys going on long leash walks and would do best with an owner who has the time and energy to give her at least one good long walk a day. After that walk, she's more than happy to cuddle.
